Thanks to everyone who entered the Earful of Cider Crapsey Cinquain Contest!
Although I didn’t judge quality—because I’m nowhere near qualified to do so—I can safely say that all of you wrote Crapsey poems but none of you wrote crapful ones. Well done!
Sunny graciously allowed me to use her favorite Dora baseball cap to hold the names and Janie picked the winner:
Congratulations! Your prize is any one mug from the Cafe Press poet mug collection. Browse through them at your leisure and send me the link to your selection along with your postal address.
Click John’s name for his crown cinquain, which is simply lovely.
Honorable mention goes to Sherry, for going first, Lisa, for trying a tricky one, and Downith, for trying flattery.
Well I guess that just goes to prove that flattery DOESN’T get you anywhere.
I love those mugs!
Sure it does—just not in poetry contests. 🙂
Those mugs are a great way to spend an hour . . . or four. Hope John likes them!
Wow, I just read it. It’s like a PROPER poem! Very cool. Congratulations John.
Wow!!!!! Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. I’d like to thank the Academy….:) And the prize choices are so cool. I did spend quite a bit of time browsing during my lunch break today. So many choices, but I think I’ve narrowed it down. Coffee mugs are a weakness. I don’t think you can have too many.
Congratulations, John! 😀
It was totally awesome. And so are those mugs! Congrats to John!
