I caught this on SBTB yesterday, watched it several times, and had to share:
I can only imagine how difficult it must be to make these motions look so effortless.
Guillaume Côté is a Principal Dancer with the National Ballet of Canada. He also created the choreography for this dance and can do things like this.
“Another Day” was written by James LaValle and Ben Shirinian directed.
That is simply breathtaking. Thanks for sharing it Sarah.
I had to—such grace !
I love the chalk(?) floating through the air as he twirls. Really really beautiful.
I think it must be chalk . . . I thought smoke at first, but there’s no haze otherwise.
Or it’s CGI, but I hope not.
As someone who can’t even keep time with the applause in a crowd, and who trips daily over my own feet, I am in awe.
I know! At one point i turned to my husband and said, that sound you heard was my thigh muscles snapping in sympathy.
I’m with you, Sherry. I’m so clumsy. And then I see this and can’t believe a human body can be so smooth, so graceful, so fluid.
Beautiful.
Oh, that is mesmerizing. What a gorgeous thing the human body can be.
Exactly–and the slower motion really highlights how amazing these movements are . . .
