Random Thursday (ˈrandəm ˈTHərzdā): the day on which Sarah plunks down all the odd bits and pieces she’s acquired during the week in an effort to avoid writing a real post, the assembly of which usually ends up taking twice as much time as actually sitting down and creating real content.

First, the Earworm
So you can have something to hum while you peruse the rest . . .
Because misery loves company, that’s why.
And it’s been two days.
(Thanks to Kev, who somehow discovered how much I love They Might be Giants and ran with it)
ooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo
Artful Illusions
I know the camera is viewing these gorgeous works of art at just the right angle to make them pop, and I’m not complaining, but I would love to see them from different perspectives and see how that affects them.
(From . . . Lillygrif? I think?)
ooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo
Not a Gif, I Swear
From, or possibly for, my husband, who apparently likes to watch my eyes cross . . .
I swear to you, I had to embed this thing last so I could focus on the rest. Ugh, sorry.

Vujà Dey:
the strange feeling I’ve never seen this video before.
Weird . . . that feeling’s gone now . . .
(pretty sure I found this one myself—I’m addicted to Vsauce)
Two days of They Might Be Giants? *ahem * mi mi mi mi
La la la, la laa – chick-EN!
La, la la, lala — IS-land.
Darn you. Watson . . . Darn you to heck.
With a ba-NAAN-aaaaaaaaa!
Dude.
So tricky on the eyes today! I had to put a cursor over one of the dots just to be SURE it wasn’t moving.
I know! It’s a peripheral vision thing, apparently, so it’s really difficult to make sure.
I had to stop after a while—that yellow and purple combo is a problem, too.
The sidewalk art blows my mind.
Isn’t is marvelous? A lesson in perspective and expectations.
Lord Have Mercy!
For which bit? 🙂
I love all those videos, but the one about deja vu answered one of my questions about that jerking when you fall asleep thing. That was happening a lot to me when I ran out of the prescription happy pills.
And thank you for the earworm. I’ll be singing and dancing to that for the next day or two. Which should make tomorrow at work even more fun than usual.
I live to earworm, Lisa! 🙂
I’m just glad i have a term for that tip-of-my-tongue-know-I-knew-it-a-second-ago feeling. Can’t quite remember what it is right now, but . . . 😀
alright, now i’m going to be online another 30 minutes, at least, figuring out what’s going on with those dots.
(love, love, love TMBG’s istanbul)
When you find out, let me know!
(I do, too. The harmonies are terrific)
