Attention:
There will be no post today because the blogger is too busy fangirling—fanwomaning?—and counting the seconds until seven p.m. CST.
Why?
Are you joking?
For those of you who haven’t paid much attention to any of my casual references to the show for the past several months, here’s a trailer:
And another example of the advertising power ABC and Marvel Studios are putting behind this show:
And at least one member of Joss Whedon’s Star Power Stable™ who’s making a cameo:
It’s RON GLASS.
From Firefly! And Serenity! And Barney Miller!
And now I’m dating myself.
But I don’t care! Because it’s RON GLASS!!
Not convinced? Really?
Try a different trailer:
And an interview that would have made me want to try the first episode, even if I’d never heard of Marvel, simply because of the comfort levels and chemistry of the actors:
Am I being just a tad . . . intense about a television program?
Could be.
But the only programs that have played on our television in the ten months since Leverage ended
have been for kids or sports fans.
And while I haven’t really missed it, this show seems like an excellent reason to tune into something a little closer to my demographic.
And just a bit closer to my heart.
Join me?
OK, OK, I’ll watch it. I mean Joss Whedon goes without saying but the first trailer I saw didn’t have any women in it.
Hooray! 😀
I rewached the Avenger’s dvd with my eldest daughter today – just to be prepared! Can’t wait until it starts:)
You’re back! How were the volcanoes? 😀
Will it show where you are? I really want your opinion on this show!
I love it when you warn us that there won’t be a post and then there IS.
Do I do that? 😉
SHEPHERD!!!
I mean, I was hooked at “Joss Whedon,” so it’s not like this pushed me over to the ‘gonna watch it’ column; it’s more like a bonus.
And it looks like he’s going to be a recurring character! Woot!
Wow. It’s going to take another watching, but so far, I’m liking it. Clark Gregg was amazing. Just the right amount of smirk.
My favorite line of his (slightly misquoted): “The beach, Travis McGee mysteries, and a physical therapist whose command of English was . . . irrelevant.”
I figure that memory was planted . . . wonder why? And I wonder if he knows?
See this is why we need cable, so we can get the overseas stuff.
Ron Glass – I loved him in Barney Miller ! Remember Blood on the Badge?
Yep.
Thank heavens someone else remembers that, Downith! 😀
(Mr. Glass was disapprovingly awesome—I hope he’s a recurring character!)
