Random Thursday (ˈrandəm ˈTHərzdā): the day on which Sarah plunks down all the odd bits and pieces she’s been sent by friends or has otherwise stumbled upon this week in an effort to avoid writing a real post, the assembly of which usually ends up taking twice as much time as sitting down and creating actual content.
It’s been brought to my attention that true “Random” Thursdays probably wouldn’t have related elements.
Okay.

Seems Legit
One out of one Sunny Ninjas agree, in case you were wondering.
My husband texted me this picture, with the caption,
“Nobody better take her stuff.”
My reply:
“No one can find her stuff in that room.”
His reply:
“Ninja Stuff!”
Fair enough.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
If you haven’t subscribed to Anglophenia, yet, be warned:
I have no intention of letting up until you do.
Siobhan Thomson explores the idiosyncrasies of Britain,
while occasionally poking fun at Americans
in a way that makes us totally agree with her.
It’s a gift.
For those who really want to know:
You’re welcome.

Knittin’ Broccoli
I think we’ve probably established by now that I enjoy the thought of knitting things
more than I ever actually take the time to prove
that I’ve enjoyed having knitted them.
And I don’t like I-cord.
But I feel an intense need to knit up a head of these
and perhaps give them out for Christmas.
Try to act surprised.

Poor Wandering Banjos and a Smug Pianist
Since Boston in smothered in snow,
have two Smothers Brothers and the Boston Pops.
(Hang on until 2:46. You will be rewarded.)
If you’re wondering if you missed the banjos, you did.
Because they’re NINJAS.
Because they were so funny, I think many people don’t realize how musically talented the Smothers brothers were. Thanks for the gentle reminder.
Love Ninja Sunny!
And, just for my edification, what does one do with knitted broccoli?
It didn’t help that the Smothers Brothers rarely managed to get through a whole song without arguing about who Mom liked best. 😀
I do, too. But I wish she’d clean her room.
Um . . . marvel over its construction? 🙂
what to do with knitted broccoli? um…serve with crotcheted cheese sauce?… and thank you for the “all things British” time sink.
Crocheted cheese sauce . . . . five bucks says it’s already on Ravelry somewhere!
And you are very, very welcome, John, as always. 😀
I’ve run afoul of more than a few of those pronuncations, so thanks. ( you know, 14 years too late)
You’re welcome, Downith (better late than never)!
If it’s any consolation, moving from Ohio to western Illinois was just as jarring. 😀
Oh dear. Yet another reason for my wife to kidnap a wombat.
Wombatnapping. Cool. 🙂
But if she gets caught swiping an Australian animal, she might get The Boot!
I’m sorry, Mike. This is a Simpsons Free Zone. D’oh!
It can’t be Simpsons-free if you can identify the reference.
I’m sorry, Mike. This is a Logic Free Zone.
It’s not like I referenced an episode after the first 10 seasons… All superfans hate that. (And I suspect you are one of them.)
I’m seriously not–_ i think I’ve seen three episodes since maybe the second season. But I do remember that one! 🙂
For shame. That series has you written all over it!
Um…?
