I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a happy one and that everyone else had a pleasant Thursday!
And here we are, again:
“The only surety is that Gladstone-Klein does not want anyone to know what Jessica recorded concerning MoonShot. But,” he said, a mirthless smile curling his lip, “but . . .
“There is no such thing as an absence of story,” he continued, as if quoting, “and I decided that if I could not follow in Jessica’s footsteps, I would try a new path to the same end.”
“Me.”
“You. The daughter of Monica Henderson-Mykota. And,” he said, “I was right.”

I wonder if he’ll find what he’s looking for. Nice six! 🙂
Hmmm . . . I wonder, too. 🙂 Thanks, Jessica!
Hmmm… how does she feel about that? Nice six! 🙂
That’s next week’s six, I think, Lorraine. 😉
My heart dropped a little. I’m also wondering what she thinks of this news. Great hook!
Thanks, Sarah!
So I wonder if she’ll cooperate? It can’t be that easy for him. Nice six!
Guess we’ll see, Jenna. 🙂
Despite the fact that Clyota is a means to an end for him, the discovery didn’t make me dislike him. They both have a purpose and help each other. Now, they’re just being honest about it. Fantastic.
Thanks, Lisa—I think Reynard is one of those characters that grows on you.
Ouch. Means to an end. Like that he’s laying it all out though.
Yeah, Clyota’s probably not going to be too happy about that, Eleri.
Nice six! I sort of hope she throws something in his face. 😉
Thanks, Ana. Like a fist, maybe? 😀
I take it corporations still rule this world.
They sure ’nuff try, Sue Ann. The whole country was restructured during the Ten Years’ War and capitalism is pushing its way out of the remnants of a martially-based emergency system. Or something. I have it written down somewhere . . .
Is your character gonna pull an Erin Brockovich?!! I hope she got the goods on this MoonShot.
At this point, I think she just wants to find out who framed her for murder, so she won’t have her organs harvested on Death Row, Carrie, but she’ll probably find the truth along the way. 🙂
Yikes! I’m excited about this story.
At least he’s being honest, even if his initial motivation isn’t so noble.
True, Carrie. Reynard doesn’t lie . . . exactly, but he’s not the most forthcoming person.
He’s honest if nothing else.
He’d consider that a compliment, Elaine! 😀
Wow. Wonder what her response to that is going to be. Nice six!
We may find out next week, if I can fit it tinot six sentences! Thanks, Lyric!
Intriguing. A lot going on in this snippet.
I was afraid it was a bit infodumpy?
In my mind, all I can hear is “Dun, dun, DUN! Tune in next week for more exciting adventures.”
Is it working, Odie 🙂
